Rylan finally got her helmet.
It has a pretty pink strap and... she definitely hates it.
Seeing her be fitted was the saddest thing I have ever seen. Not because it was a long process or because it was painful, she just looked so defeated.
It ended up not looking as bad as I had anticipated in my mind but I still hate it.
These 5-8 remaining weeks are going to be difficult.
She has to wear it 23/24 hours of the day which means, yes, she has to sleep with it which basically means...
She sleeps in bed with me.
It's annoying but I have to put it into perspective and think how uncomfortable it would be to have a bicycle helmet on while you slept...
doesn't sound too ideal.
She is getting spoiled.
But as soon as that helmet comes off-- it's back to the crib with you!!

Rylan met Blitzen at the Fire & Ice Festival down in the Riverwoods.
He said he would put in a good word with Santa so, needless to say, they are pretty tight.

Rylan's Valentine's Day outfit & Photo Shoot:
*sigh*
oh the cuteness.
Roses are red...
Violets are blue...
I'm pretty cute, but I may poop on you.
Will you be my Valentine?
Valentine's Day was pretty special. Brian took Rylan out at about 2:30 so I could have some time to relax and get ready for our date.
He arranged babysitting and drove her there all by himself.
He picked me up at about 4:45 and we headed up to Log Haven which is an amazing scenic restaurant up Little Cottonwood Canyon? Milcreek Canyon? I can't remember there are way too many Canyons...
Anyway, we decided to go there because it was rated 1/10 most romantic restaurants in the U.S.
Naturally, we wanted to decipher if this way true..
it is.
Luckily they had valet parking because there wasn't a parking spot to be seen for miles.
When we arrived the host gave me a rose and escorted us to the waiting area.
The ambiance was absolutely incredible.
It was beautiful inside with a fireplace, rustic refinished wood, high ceilings and huge windows allowing you to overlook the beautiful scenery and lights.
We were sat by a window which was ideal.
Brian ordered duck and I ordered salmon and we finished with an order of almond, huckleberry panna cotta. Seriously, my favorite dessert of all time!
Afterwards, Brian and I watched a movie and exchanged presents.
Brian always outdoes me in every aspect of gift giving, and this time was no different.
It was a great Valentine's Day.
In other news, I can finally say I am starting to feel at home in Sandy.
I have met some great people the last few weeks.
A move is always made easier when there are friendly people to talk to and spend time with in your neighborhood.
As some of you may know, I deleted my facebook account. This blog and my instagram account (rara_nation) will be the best ways for you to keep up with us.
We hope you know how much we love and appreciate the relationships we have with each and every one of you.
Until next month, take care!
P.S Here is Rylan in a box... nope she's not eating Green Eggs & Ham. She may, however, be packing herself up for her baby adventure to NY in less than two weeks. GRANDMA'S WEEK! What a ham!
